Jingle Bells, everybody!

When we launched the new site back in 2023, we made a whopping 37 news posts that year. Last year, we made 14. This year it's been only 4 with this one the 5th. Does it mean we're getting lazy or slowing down? Not really, we're still uploading new content and making adjustments based on your feedback. What this means is over the years, through trial&error we have been figuring out what works best for us - this goes for everything from features to UI to monetization. As we got most of those things figured out by now - the probability of any sweeping changes grows increasingly unlikely. As they say, no news is good news, and given all the challenges of running this business, we like to think this old adage is quite fitting.

Perhaps the most important achievement of the "Vids 2.0" upgrade for us was better tools for analytics, which we've improved even further since then. We adopted a good habit of basing our decisionmaking on concrete data, which is a far cry from how things used to be. For example, erratic "Spring Cleaning" events that purged content blindly without solid understanding of what you like and not is something that would no longer be possible today. This kind of "behind the scenes" work isn't very newsworthy, yet it's exactly what we dedicated quite some time to in 2025, and what we'll continue doing in the coming year to make sure we're providing you a better experience and a better service.
